Login to the netgear router settings using routerlogin.net. Click wireless under the basic settings tab. You can set a definite wireless channel and output power for your wireless channel. The 2.4 GHz band will always give you more range than 5 GHz band on your netgear R8000 router.
-Login to router settings using routerlogin.net, under the wireless settings fix the wireless channel to 11 for the 2.4 GHz Band and set the 5 GHz band to channel 153.
Disable dynamic QoS on your netgear router if the problem persists.
Try upgrading the Ethernet to a CAT 6 cable in case of Ethernet connections.
Upgrading the router firmware can also help with such issues.
-The netgear router login page should come up when you enter routerlogin.net on any device.
If the netgear router login page doesn’t come up, try restarting your Netgear R7000 router.
Make sure that the device on which you are trying to log in on is connected to the R7000 router.
Use an Ethernet cable to connect the device to establish a reliable connection.
Open the netgear login page using www.routerlogin.net, If the default username and password does not help you login into the settings of the netgear router. Try using a different password which could be associated with admin account.
Netgear routers also have a provision to recover the admin password if you’ve lost it.
Click cancel when prompted to enter the admin password. Netgear router will redirect you towards the password recovery wizard
